A catch-all email mailbox is one that collects all the messages sent to nonexistent addresses. For example, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss emails because the other side has an out-of-date address or has made a spelling error. The negative aspect of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving plenty of unsolicited email messages, but this issue can be rectified by using anti-spam protection software. It is also essential to keep in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound emails to a third-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

In case you host a domain name on our cloud hosting platform and you have a shared hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section includes quite a few features, but it’s exceptionally intuitive, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes just a click. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you will just have to click the "Catch-all" button pertaining to the specific email address. Our system will notify you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding activated, so you can either disable the latter feature or pick another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will permit you to create a catch-all email mailbox without any efforts even in case you don’t have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to accomplish that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address that you have set up with your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. Since you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you have already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you’d like to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you do not need this feature any longer, you can disable it by clicking again on the very same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
